BOBBY BLAIR
Bobby's prowess was evident from a young age, as he clinched the title of Florida State Junior Champion in the Boys 16 & under category in 1981. His achievements extended to the national stage, as he secured a top 5 ranking in the United States for Boys 18 & under and made it to the finals of the USTA National Boys 18 & under National Clay Court Championships, engaging in a memorable three-set marathon with a future top 10 player in the world, Aaron Krickstein.
Taking his talents to NCAA Division 1 tennis in 1983, Bobby earned a top 5 national ranking and was hailed as the #1 collegiate recruit nationwide. As a professional player, Bobby's determination paid off, as he defeated several top 10 players in the world, including Wimbledon Champion Pat Cash at the prestigious Tournament of Champions in New York.
After his playing career, Bobby ventured into the world of sports management, working under the guidance of his first professional mentor, the legendary Billie Jean King. In the 1990s, he served as a USTA national tennis coach and later owned and operated one of the largest tennis academies in the US. In 2017, Bobby launched Tennis Life, a global professional tennis media network. He then joined forces with the Rafael Nadal Foundation, showcasing Rafa's iconic "VAMOS" portrait alongside the incredible tennis artwork of Ted Dimond at pop-up art galleries.
Today, Bobby Blair Tennis Adventures in collaboration with The Stirling Club represents the full-circle evolution of Bobby's lifelong commitment to tennis, a passion that ignited when he was just 9 years old.
